Filmer Ally Dubasik captured this amusing misunderstanding in San Diego, California, on July 13, 2025.

The video begins with the sound of someone—or something—knocking on a closed door. When Dubasik opens it to investigate the visitor, she finds her Golden Retriever relaxing on the floor.

It turns out the "knocking" was simply the sound of the happy dog's tail rhythmically thumping against the ground as it wagged. Text overlaid on the video jokes: "Who's knocking at my door?? ... ME."
