Pune Airport is witnessing chaotic scenes as IndiGo’s nationwide flight-cancellation crisis continues to spiral. Passengers are seen waiting for hours in crowded terminals, surrounded by piles of unclaimed luggage, with many travellers reporting confusion and zero communication from staff.

Across India, IndiGo has cancelled nearly 400 flights for a fourth consecutive day, according to Reuters, after new DGCA crew-rest rules sharply reduced pilot duty hours. The airline has been struggling to adjust rosters, leading to severe pilot shortages. Bengaluru and Delhi have been among the worst-hit, with cascading delays affecting airports nationwide.

At Pune Airport alone, dozens of flights have been cancelled or heavily delayed. Grounded aircraft are occupying parking bays, causing further congestion and slowing down baggage handling. Many passengers say they have waited hours to retrieve their luggage, while some claim their bags have gone missing altogether.

Travellers also report inadequate amenities, with food counters running out and little clarity on rebooking options. Long queues at customer-service desks stretch across the terminal as passengers try to secure alternative flights.

With the disruption entering its fourth day, frustration is rising sharply. Stranded flyers continue to demand compensation and clear communication as the situation shows no immediate signs of easing.
