Resident Shows Condition of Home Following Floods in Samalanga, Aceh
A resident of Namploh Baro Village in Samalanga District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh, shows the condition of his house after it was struck by a major flood that hit the area. The sudden flash flood not only inundated residential areas but also left behind a thick accumulation of mud inside homes.
In the documented footage, scattered furniture is visible, with walls and floors covered in thick, dark brown mud. The rooms remain damp from the overflow of water. The resident is seen attempting to clear away the remaining mud deposits, which are estimated to be several tens of centimeters deep.
The flooding in Samalanga has caused damage to dozens of homes and disrupted residents' daily activities. To this point, affected individuals continue to clean up on their own while awaiting further assistance and follow-up measures from the relevant authorities.
