VARIOUS OF PROTESTORS MARCHING ON STREET, HOLDING BANNERS AND FLAGS BERLIN, GERMANY - DEC. 6, 2025: Police in Berlin detained numerous demonstrators and used force to disperse parts of a pro-Palestinian march on Saturday, Dec. 6, as hundreds rallied across the city to protest Israel’s actions in Gaza.
Crowds reacted angrily after a Black demonstrator, handcuffed and held in a police vehicle, was seen being struck by a security officer, prompting renewed chants against police conduct.
Hundreds had gathered earlier outside the Neukölln town hall to denounce Israel’s actions in Gaza and to express solidarity with Palestinians.
Demonstrators carried Palestinian flags and signs reading “Stop the genocide,” “No arms for Israel,” and “Germany has Palestinian blood on its hands,” while chanting slogans critical of Israel’s military campaign.
Earlier Saturday, the Israeli military launched a series of heavy airstrikes and conducted demolitions in several areas under its control across the Gaza Strip, marking new violations of the ceasefire agreement that took effect on Oct. 10.
The Israeli army continues to hold control of the southern and eastern corridors of the Gaza Strip, along with large parts of the north, covering more than 50% of the enclave.
Israel continues to violate the ceasefire it signed with Hamas, having committed hundreds of violations and killed 366 Palestinians as of Thursday, according to official Gaza sources.
Israel has killed more than 70,000 people, mostly women and children, and injured nearly 171,000 others in attacks in Gaza since October 2023.
