A 14-foot alligator has been safely removed from a property in Sarasota County, Florida after deputies were called to deal with the unexpected intruder. According to a Facebook post by the local sheriff's office, it took “7 brave deputies and 1 skilled trapper” to evict the giant reptile, which weighed an estimated 43 stone (600lb). The post read: “How many deputies does it take to evict a 14-foot gator? Apparently, 7 brave deputies and 1 skilled trapper! “. “This massive guest had plans to stay for the holidays, but we had other ideas. With a wave goodbye, we say, 'See ya later, alligator!'” Officials said the animal was safely captured and subsequently released at a licensed alligator farm. No injuries were reported.
