This is the moment a mother untangled her daughter's hair from her finger after noticing the tip had turned purple.

The woman saw that her child's index finger was tightly coiled by the hair, prompting her to immediately cut the strands to free the finger in Bangkok, Thailand.

Footage shows the parent attempting to untwist the hair, but it was too tightly wrapped on November 20.

She then took a pair of scissors to snip the hair. The finger quickly returned to its normal colour, and blood circulation was restored.

The mother said: 'I have to frequently untangle her hair because she usually falls asleep with her hair still wrapped around her fingers. It's a bad habit of hers that we are trying to stop.'
