US: Kitten “Flash” Rescued After Becoming Trapped Under Vehicle In Bluffton
Bluffton, United States - December 05, 2025 Earlier this week, a Bluffton resident driving along Bluffton Parkway spotted a tiny kitten darting across the road. Concerned for its safety, he and his son pulled over to search but could not locate the kitten. Just as they prepared to continue driving, faint meowing was heard coming from beneath the vehicle. The pair returned to the scene and, unable to free the kitten, drove straight to Fire Station 30 on Burnt Church Road for assistance. The on-duty firefighters searched thoroughly, but the kitten was wedged too deeply to be seen. When the crew was dispatched to a medical call, they contacted the Fire District maintenance shop for help. Senior Mechanic Tyler Williams stepped in immediately. After the vehicle was brought to the shop, he crawled underneath and carefully worked for about ten minutes to free the kitten. The tiny stowaway was rescued safely and unharmed. The kitten has been named “Flash” for her speedy dash across the road. She is now recovering at the Beaufort County Animal Shelter, gaining weight and preparing for adoption or fostering. Fire officials expressed gratitude to the citizen, Station 30 crew, and Tyler Williams for their quick action. They noted that this rescue underscores how compassion and teamwork strengthen the community.
