A shocking video has emerged from China of a car crashing into a shop and hitting a man inside.

The CCTV footage, filmed in Dalian, Liaoning Province on Monday, shows the car plowing into the shop at high speed, knocking shopkeeper Xiao Jia to the floor.

According to local reports, the driver of the car was allegedly trying to pick up a bottle of water which fell her seat when the crash occured.

When she realised she was about to crash, she reportedly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake by mistake.

A woman carrying her three-year-old child was reportedly scraped by the car as it mounted the curb, before hitting the shop.

Police are now investigating the incident.

In the CCTV video, captured in Dalian, Liaoning Province on Monday, a car suddenly crashes into a man named Xiao Jia cleaning the floor in front of his barbecue shop.

According to local reports, the car driver was picking up her bottle dropping down under the seat, while controlling the steering wheel with one hand.

When she recognized that the car was onto the side of the pavement and wanted to brake it, she pressed onto the accelerator instead of brake by mistake.

A woman carried her three-year-old child happening to walk passing the shop was also scratched by the car.

Three people were checking in the hospital and waiting for the result.

The case was in the further investigation.
