Amazing footage has emerged from northern Australia of a crocodile crossing a ford bridge in front of a car full of tourists.

The video, filmed at Kakadu National Park last week, shows the large reptile slowly moving in front of the car, while tourists watch from the bridge, which vehicles can only get across at low tide.

The filmer warned against tourists getting out of cars and standing near the water, as the video also shows a woman standing right near the edge taking photographs.

People are killed by crocodiles every year in Australia and 2014 was a record year for the number of deaths by crocodile attacks in the country's northern territories.

Kakadu National Park Australia. Alligator River is the name of the river because guy who named it thought the crocs were alligators. Anyhow, the filmed portion is an estuary that back fills at low tide. Crocs love the brackish water. Cars can cross “bridge” at low tide. Tourists are supposed to watch from a safe viewing stand but for some reason a tour driver stopped the bus and had folks strolling the riverbank. We saw at least 8 crocs from the stand that could have had a meal if they wanted one. Croc on the road could have caught the lady on the road or if one had been in the water next to her, it could have gotten her as well. People get killed by crocs every year in northern Australia.
