9月2号中午十二点20分，成都58路公交车驾驶员施先彬正驾车返回万家湾公交站，刚上到光华立交桥时，便注意到了异常情况：有一名男子正要跳桥轻生！施先彬将车靠边缓缓停稳后，从前门探出头去观察了一番，然后跟车上乘客交代了一句，便往男子身边而去。施先彬回忆到，男子对于他人的援手十分不配合，幸好，此时，同车队的37路公交车驾驶员邓永明驾车路过此地，两人协力加上周围群众的帮忙，最终联手将其救下。
