A cool video has emerged of nine-year-old Mikalah inventing a machine to help her little brother Samuel to stop sucking his thumb.

In the footage, shot in New South Wales, Australia, Mikalah explains with a song how she created a helmet with a leg that kicks Samuel's hand when he starts sucking his thumb.

Mikalah was able to create the helmet with the help of her father Jacob Strickling from the Make Science Fun YouTube channel.

Mikalah (age 9) invents and makes a machine to help her little brother Samuel (age 7) to stop sucking on his thumb.
She thought of the idea herself and with the help of her dad Jacob Strickling, who loves science and engineering projects, she built the machine.
The STOP thumb sucking machine is a helmet with a leg attached to the visor. When Sam starts sucking his thumb, Mikalah presses a button and the leg comes swinging down and kicks his hand and thumb out of his mouth.
The video is really cute because Mikalah is singing a song about the invention while she is making it and using it.
