The new five pound note can play a vinyl
The new £10 note featuring author Jane Austen has entered circulation in the UK today. To mark the occasion, here's an amazing video from the Newsflare archive of a man playing a 7-inch vinyl single with a plastic £5 note.
The footage, shot in October 2016 in Norwich in England's Norfolk County, shows the man holding one of the corner of the note onto the rotating disc.
He also used a contact microphone and a small amplifier in order to play the song.
The new polymer-based £10 note, comes into circulation exactly a year after the launch of the £5, which was reportedly the first plastic note to be issued in England and Wales.
