Surgeons remove unpleasantly long parasite from boy's head in China
Shocking footage has emerged from China of doctors removing a 10 cm long parasite from a young boy's head.
The video, filmed in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province last Friday, shows the surgeons performing the operation to remove the creature from the nine-year-old's head.
According to local reports, the boy suddenly started speaking with a lisp and kept getting cramps so he was immediately taken to hospital.
He reportedly caught the parasite after drinking unclean water, without boiling it.
The parasite has since been removed and the boy is reportedly recovering.
