Cars forced to take alternative routes
Cars were becoming cut off with deep water that was covering the road.
In some places the flood was up to a 2ft deep and drivers were unaware of the depth until they entered the water.
One car was reported to have been driving up current and they were washed back down the road due to the depth of the water and the strength of the water battering anything in its path.
