This is a collection of footage shot on a DJI Phantom 4 photography drone in late August throughout Southern Iceland. The locations in the video, in order of appearance, are:
1. Gjaín - this amazing valley is full of verdant moss, crystal-clear glacial streams, and luscious waterfalls. It is nestled among the stark geography of the foothills of Iceland's highlands.
2. Reykjanes - this Icelandic national park is best known for its geothermal "smokers," sulfurous vents that belch steam from deep underground, but also is home to stunning lakes and tranquil black ash beaches.
3. Skogafoss - perhaps Iceland's most famous waterfall, Skogafoss towers hundreds of feet above the Southern coast between Selfoss and Vík. The waterfall crashes down from atop a high plateau, and showcases the amazing power of the rushing water to carve out a deep canyon in the surrounding mountain.
4.Hjalparfoss - this twin waterfall is nestled a few kilometers off the road, an amazing conclusion to the gentle river that flows under the bridge only a kilometer away.
