Spooky footage has emerged of what appears to be an orb of light appearing on camera at a disused gaol in Northern Ireland.

The video, captured on Saturday, shows what looks like a floating light appearing in a corridor, which grows in intensity as it dances around in front of the camera.

According to its website, the goal opened in 1845, and has been the site of many executions.

"Myself and three other friends attended a tour of the Crumlin Road Gaol," the filmer wrote online.

"We didn't see anything with the naked eye while there, however when I checked the video recordings and photos I saw some very strange things," he added.

This video was taken on the night of 21/10/16 - 22/10/16 while myself and 3 other friends attended a tour of the Crumlin Road Gaol (Jail) in Northern Ireland. When watching the video keep an eye on left hand side at around 8 seconds in & the right hand side at around 25 seconds in.

The prison opened in 1845 and has an amazing history. There has been many Executions at this prison and is said to be a very haunted building. It was amazing to hear the history and tour this building. Very creepy and scary at times.
