A dramatic video has emerged from London, UK, of a biker hitting a car doing a U-turn at fast speed.

The footage, shot with a helmet-mounted camera earlier this year, captures the moment the biker couldn't brake soon enough to avoid hitting the car.

'I had no time nor the distance to stop my bike,' the biker later wrote online.

'Once he/she realised the mistake he/she decided to quickly escape the scene resulting in a hit and run.'

'The left side of my body was injured and I spent the night in the hospital,' he added.

Footage shows me being hit by a vehicle attempting to do a second u-turn reason unknown. When the vehicle decided to do a second U-turn I had no time nor the distance to stop my bike. The individual failed to look at the mirror before turning. Once he/she realized the mistake he/she decided to quickly escape the scene resulting in a hit and run. The Left side of my body was injured and I spent the night in the hospital. The individual in the vehicle has not been caught by the police and the case is closed until further evidence is presented.
