Wells Fargo Bank Fire - 2nd Alarm, Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania
05:42 hrs.
Northumberland County Communications Center dispatched a working Commercial Structure fire located at:
Wells Fargo Bank
50 West 3rd Street
Mount Carmel, Pa 17851
The Mount Carmel Police Department confirmed a working fire prior to the Fire Departments arrival on scene.
Upon hearing this Captain 2 requested while in station that the Box be upgraded to 2nd alarm with a 3rd truck company being requested. Chief 1 was informed prior to his arrival and approved the request.
The fire was quickly knocked down via master streams with overhaul being started around the 30 min. mark.
PSP Fire Marshal has been requested to the scene for investigation.
The video starts as our shooter is approaching the fire from 4 blocks out.
Damage is estimated at greater than $500,000 and the bank will remain closed until the investigation by a Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal is complete sometime Monday.
It is also noted that the banks roof was under construction in the days leading up to the fire.

Update: This fire has been ruled accidental. The investigation found the roof had no power and it is believed that a spark or discarded cigarette is to blame for this incident.
