Awesome footage from the Newsflare vault of a grizzly bear swimming.

The video, which was shot in Canada in 2016, the filmer used a Go Pro camera so he could capture footage of the large animal swimming from under and above the water.

"The resulting footage gives an intimate and remarkable view of a bear under the water, and a close up of the bears nose as she 'kisses' the camera a few times," he wrote online.

I experimented with filming grizzly bears above and below the water. Using two GoPro's rigged to a home-made floating pontoon I was able to mount a camera above and below the surface. (Thanks to my good friend Jimmy for making the camera mount).

The idea was to film bears diving for fish in 2 meter deep pools. If I was in the pool they wouldn't come and dive so I needed a camera that would float 'inconspicuously!' Unfortunately the bears either avoided the camera or became a little to interested, like this young female.

The resulting footage gives an intimate and remarkable view of a bear under the water, and a close up of the bears nose as she 'kisses' the camera a few times.
