Pub Owner Legally Threatened After Trimming Branch
A pub owner has been threatened with legal action after he trimmed a branch from a tree during a renovation project. Sean Portass, 46, chopped off part of the 25ft branch which hung over on to his roof, getting in the way of building work. But he later received a solicitor's letter on behalf of his local parish council who claim a nearby resident had complained. Sean believes it's their latest move in a "long-running vendetta" against him, and claims not one person discussed the matter with him before taking it further.
