Shocking footage, from China, of the aftermath of an accident that saw 36 tonnes worth of glass fall off a lorry and crush a car.

The video, filmed in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province last Thursday, shows glass all over the motorway after it fell off the vehicle's trailer.

Firefighters can be seen in the clip trying to cut through the sun roof of the car crushed by the glass, in an attempt to rescue the driver.

According to local reports, the trailer suddenly came loose and the driver lost control of it, causing the load to collapse

The car driver was rescued in 20 minutes and no casualties were reported.

The video, filmed in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province last Thursday, shows glasses falling down on motorway from the trailer and a car being buried under them.

Firefighters use hydraulic cutter to cut the sun roof and rescue the driver out of the car.

According to local news, the trailer suddenly sliding backwards on a slope caused the driver braking it urgently. Then, the glasses loaded on it fell down because of inertia.

The car driver was rescued in 20 minutes and no casualties were reported.

The reason of the accident was still in investigation.
