The footage, filmed in July this year, shows the rodent running across a sofa as a man tries to catch it with a fishing net.

The filmer explained online that they found "mouse urine and excrement from cutlery drawers and all other surfaces."

"An overgrown pool shower that burst on our final day, plus a dead rat in the pool. It was a two week nightmare," they added.

Here is another of the mice living in Villa - despite requests to Thomson their response was "we hear what you are saying but, it's in the countryside and ..." There were numerous issues all reported all met with the same response. - cleaning of mouse urine and excrement from cutlery drawers and all other surfaces. Dodgy electrics. A nasty aggressive continuously barking dog, we couldn't use half of the outdoor space. An overgrown pool shower that burst on our final day, plus a dead rat in the pool!
The villa booked from the brochure also had a different name on its overgrown signage. We were not given any alternative accommodation, it was a two week nightmare.
