Grootvlei is a town where one of the ESKOM power stations is located (read more here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grootvlei_Power_Station)
It provides electicity to a great portion of South African cities and towns.
This tornado was a very sudden, unexpected disaster following the recent flashfloods South Africa received.
