We were cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving here in Canada last year and made the mistake of buying a flimsy pan from the dollar store. We are quite inexperienced with how much to brine the turkey and over-filled the pan, which then became more full as the turkey was cooking. When the turkey was finished cooking, we lifted the pan out of the oven, and the liquid from the pan poured out of the pan and into the oven. It caught fire and pretty much shot flames right into my poor husband's face! Apparently, I decided to film the entire time instead of help my husband, while he used a lot of colourful language. This year I am thankful that my husband still has a face, and a face that includes both eye brows!
