Dramatic video from the Newsflare archive of a man almost losing his eyebrows as his oven starts spitting fire at him when he takes a turkey out.

The footage, shot on Thanksgiving Day in Canada in 2015, shows flames coming out of the oven as the man spills some of the gravy.

"We are quite inexperienced with how much to brine the turkey and over-filled the pan, which then became more full as the turkey was cooking," his wife wrote online.

"When the turkey was finished cooking, we lifted the pan out of the oven, and the liquid from the pan poured out of the pan and into the oven,"

"It caught fire and pretty much shot flames right into my poor husband's face!" she added.

"This year I am thankful that my husband still has a face, and a face that includes both eyebrows!"

We were cooking a turkey for Thanksgiving here in Canada last year and made the mistake of buying a flimsy pan from the dollar store.
