Skier's dramatic POV being consumed by avalanche in France
A skier has shared his dramatic helmet camera footage of when he was consumed by a avalanche in Val d'isere in 2014.
The filmer told Newsflare: "On day three of the holiday in Val d'isere in 2014 and Alex's second day as an owner of a GoPro helmet camera we took a guide out on the north face of the Grand Motte and ran into some trouble.
"The glacier was sheet ice with about three six inches of new heavy snow on top which went as the three of us skied on to it. Two got caught up but were okay and I managed to ski out of the bottom and then skied out the way.
"No-one was hurt, just shocked and the piste patrol got to us within 10 minutes."
