The giant yellow tower was working on a new office and apartment block in Bangkok when the metal at the base twisted ''like a toy''. Shocking pictures show the tangled mess of metal with the cabin almost touching the ground after it snapped in the middle and came crashing down. One stranded worker can be seen dangling from the girders while others were flung to the ground after the tragedy in the Huai Khwang district at 3.30pm. The operator of the machine was killed along with another man climbing the device, while the other two dead had been working on the ground when the crane collapsed onto them. Four men were pronounced dead at the scene, one later at hospital and two others were severely injured.
