Emergency services fear the bus could explode, next to shops and buildings, as the vehicle is carrying around 350 litres of fuel. The driver needed medical treatment at the scene after inhaling smoke. Luckily, police officers were on the scene almost immediately as the bus pulled in outside a station in Kingston, south west London. Seb Ellis, a communications officer based at the station, said: "It pulled in and we saw smoke coming out of it while there were people still on board. "So we ran out of the office to help and put closures in place. "The concern is really that the bus might explode, it has about three quarters of a tank of petrol in there, that's quite a lot, around 350 litres."
