Ewe Rescued After Getting A Traffic Cone Stuck On Her Head
The sheep was found in a ewe-nique situation by animal charity workers in a field in Hertfordshire. No explanation was found for the sheep's new head-gear, but suggestions that it was making an illegal ewe-turn have not been ruled out. The RSPCA staff rushed out to the field to assist the animal who was clearly in a baa-d state. While other sheep minded their own business the sheep who had a cone on its head appeared to be unable to move. Eager to get the ewe back into sheep shape the RSPCA acted swiftly to remove the orange cone. RSPCA Inspector Rachel Smith, who arrived at the field in Chorleywood, Rickmansworth, Herts., said: "She could see over the top of the cone so I had to crouch down and sneak up on her. I managed to grab the cone and she backed away from me so she popped right out. "Although no harm came to this unfortunate sheep, on a serious note people should make sure all hazards are removed from areas that farm animals have access to."
