METEOR - but NOT a Geminid

Buy video

video of a 'shooting star' , a meteor, but it is NOT a Geminid meteor, it was moving slower and in a different direction.

While there are already many Geminid meteors , let's not forget that there are also other smaller meteor showers active right now. They are less important but all together they do produce quite a few meteors here and there. Plus there are also numerous 'sporadic' meteors, especially in the dark hours before dawn, before the end of night.

the Geminid meteor show should peak tuesday but the bright fullmoon light will spoil the show. You can still enjoy some meteors after moonset untill tuesday, in the pre-dawn hours and end of night. And after full moon you'll have to look early in the evening before the bright gibbous moon rises.
