A heartwarming video has emerged of a student being surprised with EnChroma glasses at Christmas time.

The footage, shot in Henry County, Georgia on December 15, shows Dee discovering colours with help of the special glasses.

Dee's high school Psychology class raised $439 dollars to pay for the glasses after studying about the condition.

"We were all so excited and my teacher, Mrs. Legg, ordered them right away! On our exam day she had balloons and everyone had to dress in a lot of color and the room was decorated with Christmas lights!" his classmate wrote online.

"My teacher then finally told him that the gift was for him and gave him the glasses," she continued.

Dee is a senior in high school and has never experienced color! In our AP Psychology class we all decided after learning the unit on color blindness to give it a try and see how much money we could raise to allow dee to receive the glasses for a Christmas present! We gathered just enough money which ended up being $439 dollars! We were all so excited and my teacher, mrs. Legg, ordered them right away!
