An interesting video has emerged of a large flock of snow geese resting on a frozen lake during their annual migration.

The video, filmed last month at Big Lake, MO, USA, shows thousands of geese murmuring whilst standing on the ice-covered lake surface.

According to reports, this kind of goose breeds north of the timberline and the northeastern tip of Siberia, and spends winters in warm parts of North America from southwestern British Columbia through parts of the United States to Mexico.

This video was filmed at Big Lake, Mo. on new years day 2017. Big Lake is next to Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge, and has some of the largest numbers of snow geese during their annual migration, sometimes numbering in the millions. The lake had a thin layer of ice on it as these geese gaggled and murmurated.
