Horrendous footage has emerged of the moment a fast-moving, out-of-control lorry ploughed into a series of houses in China, killing at least five people.

The CCTV video, filmed in Zhongwei, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region on Tuesday, shows the vehicle moving at astonishing speed, narrowly missing other cars and pedestrians before destroying several buildings.

The video also features aftermath footage as emergency services sift through the rubble.

According to local reports, at least five people were killed, including the lorry driver.
