Bison Foraging in Heavy Snow - 12/12/2016
This afternoon some bison had moved back closer to town. They were busily using their heads to push through the deepening snow and find grasses to eat. It's kind of crazy how well insulated they are. None of the snow on the outside of their fur melts at all. The sound you hear faintly in the background is the wind singing in the wires of a nearby set of power lines. This is something I've never heard in person before.
