Endangered Trumpeter Swan Wading Through Snow
It was a grey day, but it was kind of fun to see one of these big birds so up close! She'd just climbed out of a tiny little channel of water and was wading off to a larger open patch. Probably a wise move because she couldn't move fast or take off from the small hole she'd been in should a predator approach. And the nearby remains of a dead swan indicated a need for vigilance.
