At tense standoff took place in central London on Saturday between anti-racism protesters and members of a far-right group.

A line of police stood in front of the members of far-right Britain First as thousands of anti-racism protesters streamed past.

Some the protesters stopped to shout at the far-right group and chant slogans such as "Nazi scum, off our streets!"

Around 30-thousand people joined the march against racism during which campaigners voiced their opposition to the wave of populism they say elected Donald Trump, saw Britain vote to leave the EU and fuelled the rise of far-right politics around Europe.
