A stunning aerial clip has emerged from Florida, USA of an Independence Day fireworks display amid a lightning storm.

In the clip, which was filmed over Robert's Bay in Venice, fireworks burst beneath the drone which is filming as bolts of lightning light up the sky above the ocean.

"I was a little cautious of getting too close to the fireworks, but I also wanted to keep the rest of the sky in the frame, as the lighting strikes over the water were incredible," the filmer wrote online.

I filmed this video over Robert's Bay in Venice Flordia with my Phantom 4 drone in 4k, capturing the fireworks show off of the South Jetty. I flew from approximately 9:10pm to 9:35, when the show ended. Since this was my first time flying the drone at night, I was a little cautious of getting too close to the fireworks, but I also wanted to keep the rest of the sky in the frame, as the lighting strikes over the water were incredible.
