Emirates A380 "Super Jumbo" Visits Ottawa for the Second Time
Montreal and Toronto were hit with severe thunderstorms causing numerous diversions. This marks only the second time the A380 has visited Ottawa, the first also being a diversion back in 2012. Diverted aircraft were parked along the taxiways and on runway 25/07 to make room for the influx of aircraft. Some passengers on an Air Transat flight even dialed emergency services after being stuck on the ground for many hours.
