A video has emerged from Mexico of a saltwater crocodile attacking a Go Pro camera.

The footage, captured off the coast of Banco Chinchorro, shows the reptile confronting two divers while they film underwater.

Suddenly the crocodile turns around and bites the divers' GoPro camera, capturing a rare perspective of the reptile's jaws.

While filming/photographing American Saltwater Crocodiles in Banco Chinchorro, Mexico, a croc stumbled on my GoPro and decided to give it a test bite.Unlike Sharks that have Ampullae of Lorenzini, Crocs have no electrical receptors and it only noticed the GoPro when it touched it.Later on it did become aggressive towards the camera and attempted to destroy it. We were able to remove it before it succeeded. Crocs are very territorial and it is likely this Croc didn't appreciate the GoPro on its turf (it previously chased off several other Crocs too).
