Amusing footage has emerged from China of a guilty dog being ordered to smile by its owner.

The clip, which was captured in Changchun, Jilin Province on August 7, shows the golden retriever lying in a pile of mess it has created.

When the owner scolds the dog, it looks incredibly sad.

"I don't want to see your sad face," the owner tells the animal. "Smile!"

Amazingly, the dog then appears to smile broadly.

the dog with a sad face being blamed by its owner as it tears paper to make a mess in th house.

However, the dog turns to smile after its owner said 'I don't want to see your sad face. Smile! '
