Sea turtle scratches itch on coral in Indonesia
An amusing video has emerged of a sea turtle scratching an itch on a coral head off the coast of Pulau Komodo, Indonesia.
The footage, shot by a diver on July 16, shows the turtle rubbing its shell against the coral to relieve the itch.
According to reports, turtles do have nerve endings in their shells meaning they can get itchy.
"In over 600 dives, we have never seen this turtle behavior before! We didn't even know sea turtles' shells are sensitive to touch, but this one really seems to enjoy a good bum scratch," the filmer wrote online.
