Fascinating time-lapse footage has emerged from Ontario of a snake devouring a toad.

The video, shot on a camping trip on September 9, shows the unnamed species of snake stretching its jaws to gobble up the toad.

"When we found it, the toad's head was in the snake's mouth and the jaw was already dislocated. This was over the period of about an hour or so," the filmer wrote online.
