Footage has emerged from China of firefighters rescuing a worker who falls into an asphalt storage tank when doing checking work.

The video, filmed in Laibin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on September 15, shows firefighters trying to use a rescue rope to pull the man out but failed, as the man's feet get stuck in asphalt.

Then, they use a cutting machine to cut a 80cm*80cm hole on the side of the tanker to allow a firefighter to go inside.

The fireman helps clean the asphalt covering on the worker's feet and takes him out of it slowly.

After an hour, the worker was rescued successfully.

Luckily, he didn't feel sick and he was having further treatment in hospital.
