More than 5-thousand fans celebrated wildly when the home team Aris defeated PAOK 70-63.

It rained confetti just few seconds before the jump ball of the preliminary Greek Cup game of the home team of Aris BC against the rival PAOK BC that held at Alexandreion Melathron on Wednesday October 04, 2017, Thessaloniki, Greece. Confetti rain before the jump ball is a typical ritual for Aris’ fans in the big games against PAOK. The fans of the former team watched on television the fans of Argentina receptions before the national team's games kick off in World Cup 1978 and followed their example. Their successors do the same in almost every home game against the rivals. The “yellow and black” team/ yellow and blacks had a good performance, defeated PAOK by 70-63 and qualified to the semi-final round. More than 5000 fans celebrated the win in a packed arena.
