This is the moment a series of monster waves battered a car as it drove along the coastline in Gosport, southern England, during Storm Brian.

In the video, filmed on Saturday (October 21), waves crash against the car as it drives along Stokes Bay Road.

Passenger Dana Squibb told local media: "All of a sudden the waves came crashing over into the car, we didn’t expect the water to hit us that hard, it was quite scary. My husband slowed the car right down to almost a standstill until the waves subsided again."

Storm Brian swept across parts of the south of England on Saturday, bringing large waves and spray, flood warnings and gales of 70mph.
