Boy applauds President Xi in China's latest viral craze
Footage has emerged from China of an eight-year-old boy playing internet giant Tencent's newest online game in which people clap along to President Xi Jinping.
The video, captured in Shijiazhuang City in northern China's Hebei Province on October 19, shows the boy holding an iPad, in which a short segment of the lengthy speech by Xi Jinping is playing.
After it finishes, the boy presses the bottom on screen to clap for Xi rapidly with both his hands.
The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China that lasted for a week and took place in Beijing has just ended. In it Xi gave a speech that lasted nearly three-and-a-half hours.
The game was designed to make it possible for people to clap along to Xi's speech from their own living room.
According to local reports it has been played more than 10 billion times.
