Fatal blast in 14-vehicle pileup on Ontario highway
Dramatic footage has emerged of a huge fire after 14 vehicles collided on a major highway in Ontario.
The video, captured on November 1 north of downtown Toronto, shows massive flames engulfing the vehicles amid loud explosions whilst a huge plume of black smoke rises up into the sky.
According to local reports, at least two people died in the accident in which two fuel tankers and a number of other transport were involved.
''I was stopped in traffic for another accident in front of me,'' the filmer later wrote online.
''I heard about three to four loud bangs, like heavy steel being dropped on the ground. Within 10 seconds I could see a large fire starting in my rearview mirror.'
''Some cars pulled a bit further up. I got out to go back and see if anyone needed help. It was clear I couldn’t get any closer than I did,'' he continued.
