Underground fire has been burning for over half a century in southern China
Astonishing footage has emerged from China of several underground fire in a field having been burning for 59 years in a village.
The clip, shot in southwestern Chongqing on October 25, shows a man carrying two kettles of water to boil on the flames burning out of the field.
According to local media, an oil drilling team used to drill a gas well there but didn't exploit it as the gas was light.
Even if it was poured by water, it would ablaze again in only three minutes.
