Dozens of migrants gathered on Wednesday (November 15) night in the centre of Thessaloniki in Greece, to walk en masse towards the Greece-FYROM border.

The video shows refugees arguing with riot police deployed to stop them from leaving the city.

According to reports, the march, to which many young people and families intended to participate, was organised on social media.

Dozens of refugees gather in Thessaloniki, with the aim of crossing the borders, on Wednesday night, responding to a call sent by unknown individuals via the social media urging them to move en masse toward Greece's north borders.

Most of the refugees responding to the call were young people that had come to Thessaloniki from Lesvos, Athens and Chios, including several mothers with their children. Despite the closure of the so-called Balkan corridor to refugees, they appeared determined to reach central and northern Europe to join their families.
