Stunning eyewitness video shows the spectacular launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.

The launch on December 22 from Vandenberg Air Force Base sent social media into overdrive with users speculating about the strange lights in the sky and many claiming to have spotted a UFO.

Writes this filmer: "I was walking my dog on Marina Avenue around 6pm and up in the sky I saw a light making sperm-shaped squiggles, which looked to me like chemtrails. Then the light slowly ascended forward on its Journey.

"Then one of the coolest things I've ever seen happened: As the main point of light moved forward, a holographic-looking Hindenburg-shaped object morphed out from behind the light as it moved onward in the sky. Then another white Light within the strange object swirled and did circles within the shape. It was incredible!"
